This past weekend, .....while Gene was out of town...... I decided to take the kids on an outing to Kennesaw Mountain. We had a lot of fun and man was I sore the next day! I wish we would of been able to go up the trail but, Lily (being a midget) had to bring her stroller and force us to push her up the road.=) She was tired when we finally made it to the top so I finally got a chance to get a picture of her. So cute!
My mom came with us and here the kids found icicles from the runoff in the shade. It was a little chilly but we really didn't notice till we got to the top and then when we headed back down.
They wanted to go on the trail sooooo bad, I felt bad, so, they were allowed to climb these "safe" rocks for a few minutes.
I don't know where Sara gets all her energy from. She was running up the road almost the entire way, and this road gets steep and is about 2 and a half miles! She stayed ahead of the rest of us the entire way and I even had to carry poor Jacob down the hill because his legs started to cramp. We still laughed and had fun though! When we got home later we roasted hotdogs and marshmellows and Jacob said, "This is the best day of my life".
