I am really upset that the day has finally arrived where Lily is ready for a big bed. We took her crib down a few days ago and it was very sad for me. She is our last baby and it has gone by so fast...I knew it would because I didn't want it to. She is still very young but she was getting jealous of Sara at bed time ( they share a room) and would always climb up in Sara's bed and tuck herself in. She has done perfectly in her new bed (the top bunk, taken down). I have had no problems with her staying in it at all. Her behavior has made me feel good about the choice to go ahead and move her up. It's still sad to only have a few items left around to remind me how young she is, diapers, passy, highchair. She is speaking in full sentences and knows what you want her to do. She told Gene this past weekend, when we went to Kennesaw Mt. again, "I like your shoes." She never really sees him wear his tennis shoes and she noticed and commented on them....that made us both laugh! So here are the sad and exciting pictures of my baby growing up and moving on to her sassy years.
I kiss her thru the bars after tucking her in....last time!
Not quite tall enough...we added a step on the other end.
